Happy Father's Day

This is my card for my husband. Our children celebrated him last week during their birthday party. But I would like to honor him on Father's Day with this card and a book "Pops: Fatherhood in Pieces" by Michael Chabon recommended by a New York Times best selling author.

This card was made with Art Impressions "Love Bird" stamp set, Avery Elle's "Simply Said Happy" for the sentiment and Simon Says Stamp's " Playful Messages" for the inside sentiment. The frames are "Fine Frames" by Altenew. The stamping ink was Versafine Onyx Black. The watercolor is Kuretake Gansai Tambi.

Is it too late for a Christmas Card?

This card was my idea for my Christmas card! It took me a long time to find the right placement and color combo. I invested a lot of time in the design. Then on Oct. 6th my daughter was diagnosed with Pancreatitis. This is an unbelievable condition from which she is still recovering 4 months later! So, here is the Christmas card!

The background is Ellen Hutson's Twelve Days embossed in gold. The partridge, pear and sentiment  are by Hero Arts from the Color Layering Partridge set.

Altenew Thank you!!!

I love this Hennah Elements stamp set.

I have used it here for my birthday"thank yous". I had to try this 'masking of the middle for the sentiment' technique.

Thanks for looking!

Concord and 9th

I just love this set! So many colors and ways to use are rattling around in my head! At first I did not think I would like the yellow and orange but the combination has grown on me.

This last card is used with the matching die that was cut in white.  Love it!

Thanks for looking!!!

Garden Hydrangea

For this card I stamped the Hydrangea three times. I cut out the middle section of one and just the center on the last stamp image. I then stacked them to create some dimension on the card.

Water Color Fuschia and Butterfly

AAahh..... the end of the weekend.... :-(
I thought I would post one more card......

This is a Technique Tuesday stamp called Fuschia. I stamped it with Ranger Archival Ink on Strathmoore Cold Press paper. I used Tombow Dual Brush marker ink and a waterbrush to color the image. This color combination in the real plant world is called "Dark Eyes" and was my mom's favorite fuschia. I added Pretty Pink Posh's sequins and droplets. The butterfly is from Lawn Fawn's Critters in the 'Burbs set. I used My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle Die-Namics.

St. Patrick's Day 3

This is the box card that I made for my daughter who always displays my cards on her desk ( so they have to be va-va-varoom! Right?) We have Dachshund sisters, Judy and Julie, so they often appear on the cards!!!

I used the gnome from Lawn Fawn's "Gnome Sweet Gnome" as my leprechaun (Don't peek under his hat!!!)

 A view from the top!!!!

It folds flat for mailing!!!
