A Heart Bouquet

I had the perfect occasion to send someone a little pick-me-up.  This cute image does just that! The

stamp is Heart Bouquet.

I used American Crafts "Dear Lizzy" patterned paper and Copics to color it.

My Husband's Birthday Card!

We have two long-haired, Black and Tan Dachshunds which influenced the coloring of this cute puppy from Art Impressions (To The End).  The inside of the card has the backside of the dog which is on a little spring to make it wiggle! All the sentiments are stamps from Unity Stamp Co.

This card will be linked to the Art Impressions "Front and Back" Challenge, Simon Says Stamps "All Creatures Great and Small" and the Lawnscaping Birthday

Unity Friends with Flair 6.6.14

Happy FWF day - and TGIF!
I spent three hours in the chair at the blood bank. They had posted on Facebook that the hospitals were dangerously low on platelets, so I heeded the call. I had no idea that it took 3 hours!!!! I survived thanks to a Kindle book!!!!

Here is another sympathy card using Unity's "With Sympathy" set. I hope there is no more need for these cards the rest of the summer!!!

Have a great weekend!

Garden Bench with Black Bird-

I gave this cutie to our physician. She made several calls during a weekend to check on my husband. He fainted at work (from pain of falling and hyper extending his knee) and we just wanted to make sure the symptoms were just that - fainting!  And he is fine but it was one of those things that shook him up enough to be more concerned about his health.
He has seen our family doctor, a neurologist, a cardiologist (and everything is fine) and
has appointments for the dentist!!!!  I am sorry that he had to be scared but nagging wasn't helping!

This is for the Mountain Plains Crafters challenge and Unity Friends with Flair.

Unity's Friends with Flair 5.16.14 Mother's Day cards

Mother's Day is a reflective time for me as I am sure it is for all moms. I know it is a day to honor moms but without the kids.......well, you know.

I am lucky to have had my four children and most of their spouses and my granddaughter with me for the day. They cooked and chatted and gave me a gift that brings tears to my eyes! They gave me a plane ticket to visit my sister who is struggling right now. They knew it was what I really wanted and needed.  So thoughtful. I am so happy that they are all friends (there were days when they were young that I would have bet they would never be close!) and live within an hour of each other.

I made them Mother's Day cards!
They made me a good mom. They weathered the challenges of growing up. And I am so proud of the adults that they have become.

I used Unity's Itty Bitty "You Make Me Happy" stamp. The words are lyrics from a song that was an anthem in our car when the children were little "You Are My Sunshine"

I hope your spring is sunny!!!

Unity Stamp Company's {be inspired} Challenge

This month Unity's {be inspired} challenge is:

 This is my card.

I used Donna Downey's "Donna Poppies" and Itty Bitty "You Did It" both from Unity.

I stamped the poppie twice. I added embossing powder on the outline of the top poppie and popped it up with foam tape!

There are 5 days left to enter! Here is the link to the challenge.

Fun springy colors!

Unity's FWF 1.10.14

Valentine

Here is a Valentine using a Sizzix flip-it die! I love this paper from the Lucky Charm collection by Dear Lizzy for American Crafts. The Unity stamp is from the Family Dynamix set.
