Unity Friends with Flair 6.6.14

Happy FWF day - and TGIF!
I spent three hours in the chair at the blood bank. They had posted on Facebook that the hospitals were dangerously low on platelets, so I heeded the call. I had no idea that it took 3 hours!!!! I survived thanks to a Kindle book!!!!

Here is another sympathy card using Unity's "With Sympathy" set. I hope there is no more need for these cards the rest of the summer!!!

Have a great weekend!

Tribute to Gus Gus 5.22.14

My little Gus Gus

lost his battle with a bad heart valve. With lots of love and great Vet care he lived longer than any expected. This card I made as a tribute to him and as a gift of thanks for the Vets that cared for him.

Here is my favorite photo of him!

This is the card that I made......

The cute little dog stamp is "Tail Wagger" Unity for Bella Blvd. I thought it look so much like Gus Gus.

Thanks for looking!!!!

Unity Friends with Flair 3.14.14

This is such a fun technique and a great way to use the quartrefoil die that I love.

You can see the shine on the plastic packaging or transparency.

Here is the technique. I have tried this with lots of my favorite color combinations!

I love the little flower pot. It is from the Jan 2010 KOM "Savor the Journey. I hope you enjoyed this!

Happy Saint Patrick's Weekend!

Unity FWF - 11.22.13

This is a birthday card for my granddaughter, Kyla. Can you tell that the flourishes pop-up when you open the card?
I have had a couple of questions about how I made this pop-up so I will link you up with the Sizzix-Karen Burniston designed die!

Unity's Itty Bitty Challenge - Day 5 - Friday

This is the Best Witches Itty Bitty with the inside sentiment from an old Itty Bitty. I am not sure if you can tell that the spider is on a transparent web from Karen Burniston's Spider and Spiderweb 3-D (Pop-Up). I also cut the bats, owl tree and pumpkin from Tim Holtz's "Halloween Shadows" decorative strip die. I love interactive cards! The paper is Echo Park's "Chillingsworth Manor".

Rich Cocoa. The paper and embellies are Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry Collection.

Our anniversary and the card for my husband! FWF 7.18.13

My husband is a golfer (oh really?). So to tie in the number to the golf cart (Silhouette) I added the word score underneath - is the number a score or the number of years we have been married? Too obtuse?

Inside: I love my new Pull Tag Frame, Scallop 3-D by Karen Burniston for Sizzix. I added a couple of sentiments inside and our photo. Plus a sentiment on the top - all Unity, of course.

You can see how it looks as you pull the tab!

Pop N Cuts - Anniversary

This is a fun card for my daughter and son-on-law's anniversary. The pp is Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper. I love this new line and want to use it for everything yet hoard it at the same time. Am I alone in this paper craze? All of the ephemera is from this collection.  The die is Karen Burniston's by Sizzix. "Happy Anniversary" is from K&Company's Smash collection, the twine is from my stash!

FWF - Unity - 5.31.13 (Thanks, Julie!)

This card is for my son-in-law's birthday. Love the Sizzix Tim Holtz embossing folder (Riveted Metal) with  metal paper (QuicKutz) and some alcohol inks. I added Tim's tissue paper with Collage Pauge glossy decoupage. The gears are Tim's Sizzix big die. The "Cherry on top of the sundae" (the sentiment!) is Unity's "It's Your Day"!

Unity FWF - Graduation Card 5-15-13

My daughter needed a graduation card for a girlfriend. I just got a Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic paper pad and thought I would use that! The stamps are Unity's Phyllis Harris "Your Wings Exist" and "Brave Girl". I used Copics, Memento Rich Cocoa ink and Ranger Distress Ink. I also used Karen Burniston's Pop N Cuts die by Sizzix.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

(I tried posting this from my iPad, the first version with no camera and limited photo capabilities, and the photo did not register with the "Linky". The Linky will not let me post it again. Any suggestions?)
