Unity's FWF 1.31.2014

So here is a crazy story. My sister wanted to paint the number 12 (Seahawks fans are considered the 12th man on the field) for the Super Bowl this weekend. She found a website about "How to Decorate Your Horse" (really!). But she could not find any large stencils. So I made her 18" stencils on my Silhouette.

I am sure I will be nominated for some kind of award for this excellent video!!!

Here are the photos of the retired race horse as a 12!

The next day and after a lot of rain, my sister stopped her horse from rolling in the mud and messing up his numbers.  So he did an interpretative dance instead with a pirouette, a leap and then a kick which hit my sister and crushed her elbow! The surgery was extensive.

Here is the card that I made for her!

I put a little cast on the girl's arm and signed it!!

So the advice of the day is don't stop your horse from rolling in the mud!!!!

Unity's FWF 1.24.14

Here is a card for a male friend who is recuperating from surgery. Inside I wrote "It is time to feel better!"  Then I worried that the clocks could be misconstrued as "time is running out" or something equally as terrible!!! UGH! Stamp is Day & Night Itty Bitty.

Here is my second attempt at the Core'dinations Card Sketch!

core sept sketch-001

I used Core Impressions Ornate Collection for Basic Grey. The stickers behind the labels (Sizzix) are from the Maggie Holmes Collection for Crate Paper. The rhinestones are from Queen & Co. The banner is from the Tim Holtz Alterations line for Sizzix and the ink is Memento.

Thanks for looking!!!!

Silhouette Challenge 1.17.14

Well, I guess this would have worked for last weeks project since this week's is a Valentine or love themed project. So I am a newby on the Silhouette and I am supposed to make a new project? Does that mean you can't buy a design and use it? Is a "thank you"  love-themed? So many questions!! The card is " Ripple Note Card" by A Little Hut and the "Thank You with Flowers" is by Samantha Walker. I used a dot of Viva Pearl Pen-yellow in the flowers and the paper is from my stash.

Here is a Valentine. The design is "hearts card" by Daniela Angelova.

FWF January 3, 2014

Happy New Year!!!!

Our first FWF of the new year - how exciting!

My card is a Thank You (I am so practical) which is my typical card for after Christmas. I need to thank all my family and friends for their sweet gifts!!!

This photo is out of focus!  Whaaaat??? And now it is dark outside and the Linky is ticking!!! So instead of going with a card and bad lighting - here it is out of focus!!!

The chalked stamp says, "One of a Kind" from the SMAK kit "Chalk It Up Elements" 3/2013. I used the technique from Kassi's website . Such a cool technique. It took awhile to find the Ranger Embossing Antiquities Frosted Crystal but totally worth it.
I am sorry that this photo is so blurry.

Happy New Year!!!!
